FiveTraks owns and operates four companies: Maxwell Landscape Construction, Yardsy, Wood Duck Mills and BluTeal. Each plays a distinct role in the Outdoor Service Industry, and they also share expertise and capabilities with one another to accomplish larger projects.
In addition, in keeping with our mission to promote awareness and appreciation for the outdoors, we founded Take It Outside, Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization whose members work in the Outdoor Service Industry.
Dexter Maxwell started Maxwell Landscape Construction in 2012, drawing on a lifetime of industry experience. The company provides residential and commercial services in the greater Atlanta area, and notably is one of the leading installers of artificial turf in Georgia. Fivetraks acquired MLC in 2019.
Our commercial industrial office park in Smyrna, GA, Wood Duck Mills was developed in 2015 to create commercial leasing space for companies in the Outdoor Service Industry. Current tenants include our own Maxwell Landscape Construction, Yardsy and several other companies.
Yardsy began life in 2019 as Verdure Turf, with one man and a truck. FiveTraks acquired the company in October 2020. As a result of FiveTraks’ involvement with strategy, capital, marketing, and finance/accounting, in its first 2 years, Yardsy grew from an Atlanta-only residential service provider to a three-state (and expanding) operation serving more than 5,000 residential and commercial properties.
In 2019, Take it Outside, Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization was born out of a love for the outdoors, and all those who work and play in it. FiveTraks Managing Partner Randall Tolbert wanted a way to provide outdoor experiences as networking opportunities to connect individuals, groups, and organizations in the Outdoor Services Industry. Take It Outside members give back to the communities in which they live, focusing on enriching the lives of all those involved.
BluTeal represents our most recent investment, as a four-acre commercial industrial office space in Lawrenceville, GA. FiveTraks acquired and developed the land for BluTeal in September 2022, and like Wood Duck Mills, it leases space for companies in the Outdoor Service Industry. Alongside other tenants, BluTeal houses additional Yardsy and Maxwell Landscape Construction facilities.
